At this time, we are not accepting metal at this location due to an operational issue. Metal can be taken to the Coupeville Transfer Station. This page will be updated once metal drop-off services resume.

Please note: We cannot accept large amounts of household garbage. Small amounts of bagged household trash are accepted. See the list below for accepted materials.

Please check in with the attendant before dropping off equipment to verify acceptance and fluids.

Acceptable Materials

  • Batteries – from cars, AAA all the way up to LIPO tool batteries
  • Lawnmowers & other personal household power equipment*
    • *There will be a charge for items with fluid. Items free of fluid are accepted free of charge.
  • Electronics – Most Electronics, TVs, computer monitors, towers, tablets, laptops and cellular phones
  • Metal – Steel, aluminum, copper, insulated copper wire (ICW), used beverage cans (UBC) and all other metals, household appliances (Temporarily not accepted at this location)
  • Mattresses ($35/ mattress)
  • Paper – Mixed paper, Newspaper
  • Plastics – #1s and 2’s only. *3-5’s are considered trash for now
  • Glass – Clean bottles and jars
  • Now accepting clothes donations for the blind in the 2 blue containers. Bagged, please!
  • Cardboard

Prohibited Materials

  • Commercial and household garbage
  • Liquids, items containing liquid and saturated material
  • Gas-filled containers (e.g., propane)
  • Hazardous materials or anything containing hazardous materials. We do not accept any materials that are regulated by state or federal environmental or hazardous substance laws.
  • Tires
  • Uncertified demolition waste
  • Biomedical Waste
  • Asbestos or materials that are suspected of containing asbestos
  • Lead Paint
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Batteries
  • Burned Materials
  • Telephone poles and railroad ties
  • Yard Debris (e.g. grass clippings, leaves, weeds)
  • Any other materials that present a risk to our employees, our equipment or our facility, as determined by the Site Supervisor in his or her sole discretion.
NOTICE: ILLEGAL DUMPING OR DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES IS A CRIMINAL ACT THAT MAY CARRY SEVERE PENALTIES INCLUDING JAIL.
