DTG Recycle accepts a variety of construction site and demolition materials that will be recycled into new or reused products. Trained staff safely sorts through the materials and organizes all of them into the correct containers so that each type of material can be recycled properly.

We believe that recycling of building debris is an important issue facing the construction and demolition industry and that “green building” is an essential element to better building practices. Utilizing recycled materials in new construction reduces costs and eliminates the majority of building waste which would otherwise be added to our regional landfills.

The benefits of recycling include lowering the amount of waste in landfills and requiring less energy to create new products. Recycling also helps reduce the amount of harmful greenhouse gases in our atmosphere and can reduce CO2 emissions by 95%. Recycling allows materials to be continually reused for the same purpose, or to be re-engineered into completely new products.

During our daily mission of helping to protect the environment, DTG Recycle strives to care for our customers with the same passion. Our goal is to make your visit convenient and efficient. To do so, we support L.E.E.D., a program by the United States Green Building Council and BUILT GREEN of Washington State, a cooperative effort to promote Green Building practices.

Our Recycling Process

The customer has a commodity that they would like to recycle, for example demolition debris, construction debris, cardboard, or plastics.
The commodity is transported to our Material Recovery Facility with our trucks/containers or by customer.
The commodity is weighed upon arrival at our Material Recovery Facilities.
The commodity is dropped at the Material Recovery Facility with like products.
The commodity is hand sorted to ensure the most material is gathered for recycling, keeping it out of the landfill.
The sorted commodity is then re-bundled or baled (compressed or densified).
The re-bundled, sorted commodity is transported or picked up by a Green Vendor Partner.
The commodity is processed by the Green Vendor Partner into new recycled products.

Why Green Building?

“Green Building” is an essential element to Better Building Practices. Utilizing recycled materials in new construction reduces costs and eliminates the majority of waste which would otherwise be added to landfills.

Our primary business is recycling construction site debris from job sites, demolition sites, remodels and residential homes. Our processing facilities recycle 100% of the clean wood and drywall materials we receive. Once recycled into new products, we ship recycled gypsum and paper to manufacturing and agricultural companies throughout the Northwest.
